Behind The Business
About Mint & Mulch
I'm Callum, the founder of Mint & Mulch, based in Bourne End. I studied Law with Business at university and later worked as a project manager on large commercial contracts — a background that shaped how I run this business: clear contracts, transparent quotes, and the same organisation and attention to detail on a single garden as I'd bring to a much bigger job.
I always knew I wanted to be self-employed — not because I dislike working with others, but because I wanted to be the one in control of the standard of work going out under my name.
Why I started Mint & Mulch
I saw a gap in the industry — not in the number of gardening and grounds maintenance companies, but in the quality of experience they offered. Missed appointments, vague quotes, poor communication and average results had become the norm.
I wanted to do things differently: a business where clients know exactly what to expect, where the quote matches the final invoice, and where every outdoor space is left to a consistently high standard, not just mowed or trimmed and forgotten.
I work across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire with homeowners, landlords and commercial clients who want their outdoor spaces properly looked after, from a single garden to a full commercial grounds contract.
Built on trust
Mint & Mulch is built around a few simple principles:
Turn up when I say I will, and communicate clearly throughout.
Provide clear, transparent quotations with no hidden surprises.
Deliver workmanship I'm proud to put my name to.
Leave every property clean, tidy and respected — treated the way I'd want my own treated.
Build long-term relationships through honesty and consistency.
Most of my work comes through reputation, and I want every customer to feel confident recommending Mint & Mulch to friends, family and neighbours.
